Team Tuesday: A Happy April Iphone Background

Rhonna has come up with so many awesome Instafonts to use for your instagrams in the Phonto app, and today I wanted to share a little iphone background I created using her Instapattern font all on my iphone.

Tutorial Time:

1) I started with my PhotoForge2 App and opened an old frame image I designed that was saved in my Camera Roll on my phone.

2) I added another blank layer and filled in with the Electric Lilac background color.

3) I saved the Electric Lilac background into my Camera Roll.

4) Next I opened the Electric Lilac background in my Phonto App and added the Instapattern Chevron white and sized it to fil.

5) Then, I added the "April" in navy using Carolyna Pro Font that I've loaded into Phonto.

6) I saved the image into my Camera Roll, then selected the image and set as Wall Paper.

And that's it! Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! Now you can go forth and create endless Iphone Wallpapers using just your phone, some easy little apps, and the Rhonna Designs Insta Fonts!

Creative Team Tuesday: A Procrastinator's Prayers Answered

So, the twins are turning three on the 11th & 12th of this month. They decided on a Ballerina Party, and I noticed that Sunday was two weeks before the date of their party. AHHHHHHH!!!! I obviously don't have invites out. Or a design. Or anything.

I suck.

But, wait! Rhonna Designs to the rescue!

I remembered Rhonna's Party Pack Kit and loved the palette for a modern ballerina party!

Here is the fabulous digital invite I used on the Facebook Event since I wanted to let people know about it asap. I've ordered the paper invites from Persnickety Prints for those family members that don't have Facebook.

It's going to be a simple little family party since March is a crazy busy month for us, but it will be filled with the twins most favorite things: tutus, ballet slippers, and sugar. What else could a three year old ask for?

App Happy II: More Instagram Apps & a Free Font!

In my last App Happy post, I went over my favorite apps for editing my Instagram photos. Here's an updated list to add to the Insta Fun!

Afterglow ($0.99)
Really pretty filters and fun guest filters. I use in conjunction with my PicFX app on almost every insta

Shapely (FREE)
Just found this one and I LOVE it! It's free and it comes with a lot of combinations, but if you want to get really creative, you can buy add ons, which I think is genius.

VSCO Cam ($0.99)
Another good filter app, these are more gritty and edgy. Good for landscape images & guys.

Vine (FREE)
This isn't really an Instagram app, but it IS a ton of fun. You make short little 6 second videos by touching your screen. I don't love that it captures the sound (really distracting), but still fun. To see our silly little videos my vine is @Rosemary Watson.

AND, since Phonto is proving to be my most used App, here is a fun little font I created to use in Phonto!

Just go here to download the font, or you can email it to yourself if you have an iphone and you can load it directly in Phonto!

Of course, along with my Birdsong font, you MUST grab some of Rhonna's Instafonts to use in Phonto. If you grab the bundles you get a crazy amount of designs to have fun with!

Rhonna has a ton of fab tutorials on her blog how to use her Instafonts, and she snuck in a hint to her upcoming online Insta Class! Can't wait to get the details on that.

Team Tuesday: Creative Calendars

Sooo.....obviously I never got around to sending out Holiday Cards. I suck.

Instead, I came up with this great idea to design some quick and easy calendars to send out now that it's January. If you missed the boat, and want to make up for December, here's a great, creative way to kick off 2013.

Valentines with Rhonna Designs & Free Heart InstaFrames

So many exciting things going on over at Rhonna Designs for Valentines Day, and if you are in Utah, you are the luckiest person ever because Rhonna herself is teaching a FABULOUS Chalk Art Workshop on Thursday at Dear Lizzy. Maybe I can fly in just for the class?

Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to fly in BUT Rhonna has put TEN amazing Chalkboard Cheer art designs up on the Rhonna Designs site, and now I have to figure out how I want to display them in my house <3

Uh, what happened to November?

Basically I fell off the face of the earth. My sister got married. Thanksgiving happened. My photography business has exploded and I've been utterly consumed with family portraits and holiday card designing and marketing for 2013. Plus, my kids and home and husband have been taking up a little of my time too. Oh, and my mom had her 50th birthday. So that's basically what's been going on with me. There's a whole lot of other stuff too, but right now it's 1:24 am and I can't sleep because I had 3 cups of coffee yesterday plus a cup of tea plus a Dr. Pepper. Not a good combination. But, I'm glad to be back blogging again, it feels like coming home.

Since it's officially Tuesday, let's see what Rhonna has been up to, eh?

As you can see, I've finally changed up my blog header from Halloween using all her gorgeous holiday kits for this year. I switched it up a little for my Facebook header.

And, I'm super excited because I'm officially starting a December Daily album this year! What what! My Snap Album from Two Peas came in yesterday and I am in. love.

I designed some cute "Project Life" style inserts for the page protectors and ordered them from Persnickety earlier tonight. I can't wait until they get in so I can start putting the album together. Between my Rhonna Designs kits and my Instagram photos I'm using, this album is going to be spectacular. Here are some of the kits I used in designing the album:

I recently found some fabulous mini accordian albums for my photography clients and I decided I definitely needed one for my sweet little Clementine's newborn photos I took. So, I whipped up this darling little album using Paislee Press's Meant to Be Kit. 

I love these little close ups of her face and hands. I can't wait to see this all printed up on a little accordian album; I may go accordian album happy for christmas gifts!

We all venture out at night in the dark and leave little presents on two neighbors doorsteps, then ring the doorbell and run and hide. It's always hilarious to do with the littles; they can never keep quiet ;) Then your neighbors spread the Halloween cheer and pick two more neighbors to BOO! It's so much fun; start it in your neighborhood this year!
